Beaver Dam Summer Camp

Squirts-Bantams

Dates: Tuesday's, July 30th, August 6th, & 13th

Time: 1:30-2:30 (on-ice)

Off-ice: (2 sessions) July 30th and August 6th- Immediately after practice for a half-hour

Location: beaver Dam Family Ice Arena

Camp Overview: This camp will have a heavy emphasis on skill/technique, such as basic skills like skating, shooting, and passing. We will be running several small area games that resemble game like scenarios. This camp is perfect to work on basic skills, but also to push yourself and develop hockey sense. Low number of skaters to keep a good coach to player ratio. Our only asks are that you have fun, listen, and compete

Parents you will receive the practice plan a few days ahead of the session so you can review it with your skater. This will save valuable ice time and they will have a greater understanding of the drill. We will still demonstrate each drill and draw it up for the skaters on-ice. 

GOALIES: Taking 4 goalies...first four to sign up are free

2024 Eble Spring Camp for Mites/Squirts and Pee-Wee's 

Mites/Squirts:

Dates: April 22 and 29th May 6th and 13th 

Time: 6:15 to 7:15 PM 

Location: Eble Ice Arena 

Camp Overview: This camp will have a heavy emphasis on skill/technique, such as basic skills like skating, shooting, and passing. We will be running several small area games that resemble game like scenarios. For the mites going into squirts, we will teach the basic rules of the game such as off-sides and penalties. Low number of skaters to keep a good coach to player ratio. 

Parents you will receive the practice plan a few days ahead of the session so you can review it with your skater. 

GOALIES: I am working on securing a goalie coach, so be on the look-out for pricing.

Cost: 4 sessions for $100.00 (Goalies are $10 unless I bring a goalie coach then the price will determined at that point) 

Pee-Wee's:

Dates: April 18th and 25th may 2nd 

Time: 6:15 to 7:15 PM 

Location: Eble Ice Arena 

Camp Overview: The purpose for this camp is to develop hockey sense, build on skills learned at the squirt level, and taking advantage of the prime skill development age. You will learn body positioning, basic to advanced skills, drills that teach the conceptual side of the game, plus an off-ice hockey IQ course. 

Parents you will receive the practice plan a few days ahead of the session so you can review it with your skater.

2024 Beaver Dam Spring Hockey Camp

Dates: 

March 22nd and 29th

April 12th, 19th, and the 26th

Times:

Squirts (2013-2014) 6-7 pm

Pee-Wees (2011-2012) and Bantams (2009-2010) 7-8 pm 

*Times may be slightly modified due to resurface time (10-15 minutes) 

Location: 

Beaver Dam Family Ice Center 

609 Gould St., Beaver Dam WI

Camp Overview:

This is a five-week camp that will focus on skill/technique, along with a mixture of small area games to replicate game like conditions, an end of the camp scrimmage, and an off-ice hockey iq session. We will do a post camp evaluation at the camper's request. 

Skill/Technique: We will focus on basic to advanced skating, passing, and shooting.

SAG's: We will do several small area games that replicate game like situations and challenge each player. We will also work on the fundamentals of a breakout, offensive zone entries, Battle/Compete drills, and other tips and tricks. 

Hockey IQ: (off-ice) This is in huge demand! This class is for anyone who wants to advance their knowledge and think the game at a much higher level!  

UPDATE: Squirt Group Hockey IQ will be on March 29th at 5pm

                        Pee-Wee/Bantam Group Hockey IQ will be on March 29th at 8:00 pm 

The instruction will cover the following:

offensive zone entries, how to put yourself in position to improve the condition of the puck, an overview of forechecks.

Defensive zone coverages and responsibilities and breakout tips and options

A hockey IQ quiz...along with a few handouts to grow your knowledge of the game.  (Quiz for pee-wee/bantam group)

Q and A session 

For each camp, we will provide a lesson plan a few days before the session, we will draw it on the board and demonstrate each drill on-ice. 

Our only ask is that you come in to learn, Listen, compete, and have fun!

Goalies: We did not forget about you!!! Goalies are welcome, we just ask that you register (can even be the day of) and you will be charged $10 per session. If there is a demand for a specific goalie instruction, Tribe will do its best to secure one of our awesome goalie coaches and we will offer a very competitive goalie rate. If there are no goalies, goalies will see plenty of shots and be provided with some coaching.
